He's So Rude!

I’m a real estate agent who often works out of a neighborhood coffee shop. A guy who is often there is rude; he’s loud and obnoxious. If he’s not on the phone talking loud, he’s watching videos on his computer with the sound on for the whole place to hear. I don’t think anyone has said anything but I’m completely annoyed. What would you do?

So Annoyed…aren’t we all! Because it's a shared space and you’re not the boss, you may have to suck it up and put on your noise canceling headphones. Also, since you understand how rude this behavior is, make sure this is never you.

My Momma Says…

We've all been held captive by the " I don't understand where your space begins and mine ends jerk" . Whether on the plane or at the beauty shop, some people just don't get the fact that we're not interested in their conversations. Talk with the shop manager. Is there an expectation for a quiet working environment? If so, s/he might put up a sign indicating such. Or, at the least, have a private word with Mr. Large and In-Charge. Good luck.
